Dear Child,
I saw you trembling with fear.
From my throne, I felt the hairs on the back of your neck rising.
The cold sweat chilled my spine too, your troubled heart tripped my heart-beat too.
I heard your cries, I noticed every shade of doubt in your eyes…
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
In your sea of troubles, I will sail with you,
… then calm the storm with my hand,
In your discomfort, I will sit with you,
… then give you perfect rest,
In your pain, I will wince with you,
… then pluck away every sting,
In your grief, I will weep with you,
… then restore back your hope.
Do not be dismayed, I am your God,
I made the weight that burdens you… I can lift it,
I carved the spike that pokes you… I can blunt it,
I filled the sea that drowns you… I can scoop it,
I shaped the eyes that spite you… I can blind them,
I molded the lips gossiping about you… I can seal them.
My righteous right hand is your strength,
Let the lips that speak life kiss you,
Let the eyes that sparked the stars look upon you,
Let the heart that sustains the universe beat for you,
Let the hand that planted the stars defend you,
Let the face that dims the sun shine upon you…
Let the omnipotent be your strength.
Put your hope in me,
I WILL NEVER FAIL YOU.
Your Loving Dad,
Almighty God.
